Pond-Friendly Plants List

Indigenous plants are best for use near our ponds, because they are adapted for the conditions on the Cape; as such, they likely do not require fertilizer -- just water -- to get established.

Information presented at the recent meeting "Pond-Friendly Landscaping for Watershed Dwellers", includes an informative list prepared by Seth Wilkinson of the Brewster Conservation Commission.

Plants listed are easier to maintain because they do not require special care to make up for conditions not being right for them.
